Intelligent Triathlon
"A lifetime goal of mine was to do an Ironman and 2009 was the year I was going to accomplish that. After a lot of consideration on doing it on my own versus having a coach I decided that there's only one 'first Ironman' and I wanted the best experience possible. Right from day one, Shaun was constantly talking with me and helping me improve in all aspects of triathlon. Whether it's swimming, biking, running, or nutrition, Shaun has knowledge to help any level of athlete achieve their goals. In the end, I was able to achieve my goal and finish my first Ironman in 10:26 with a 3:26 marathon. Thanks Shaun for a great season."

I hired Ann to help me achieve my life time goal of completing Ironman Canada. Not only did I cross the finish line, but I had a fantastic experience. Ann provided me with a clear, effective training plan. She carefully monitored my progress throughout all the training and gave me support to overcome many of the challenges I faced along the way. I feel like I have completed this experience with more than I had hoped for. Ann taught me many skills that I will take with me and use in future races...and my next Ironman!

I started working with Ann, in November 2008, with the goal of completing Ironman Canada 10 months later. I was so new to the sport, had so many questions, and Ann was there to answer every single one. I had the confidence to get out there and do the race that tests physical, emotional, and mental strength, because Ann had prepared me in all of those areas. My training became a part of my life that I looked forward to. I especially liked getting a text from Ann to ask me how I was doing right in the middle of a long ride - it was a great excuse to stop and reply (definately unintentional on her part). Ann taught me to celebrate all of the little milestones along the way. I completed my Ironman. I had a great race! It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. Thank you Ann for guiding me through it. Here we go again!

Whether you're venturing into triathlon for the first time or you've got a ton of experience, Shaun and Ann have so much info to share that you'd be crazy not to want to work with them. They are ALWAYS available for questions and advice and take an interactive approach to training - YES they train by your side much of the time! Virtually unheard of in this industry! They have made Pacific Rim Multisport into a supportive, fun group of friends with varying degrees of experience and talent. No one is doggin' it here, these friends are hard core :) Shaun coached me through my first Ironman. Could I have done it without his coaching? Maybe. Would it have been an amazing experience? No chance

"If there was an award for coach of the year Ann Barnes would be the winner, I started out with no swimming or biking experience and to make matters worse just a few days after my training began I was involved in a serious accident which prevented any activities for nearly 2 months. Ann continue to motivate me with the excitement of event, she shared her personal experiences, challenges and triumphs from her many years experiences as an exceptional athlete . The program she designed, although intense, it was never boring. She made sure that the training could fit with in my work and personal life demands. Countless hours of positive guidance, direction, as well as, one on one training during rides, running and swimming. We discussed all aspects of the event, right to the final minutes prior to the canon. My ironman was one of the best experiences of my life and I owe to the coaching I received from Ann."

"For me 2009 was the first season to experience Triathlon training with a Coach. My biggest worry was losing the freedom to move my workouts around when family and work commitments had to be the priority. This worry was quickly laid to rest early in my coaching season with Ann. She worked with me to change my workout schedule as neccessary, making sure I never missed any of my "key workouts" for the week. She has a great wealth of knowledge and experience in the sport and remained in contact with me to keep me focused and gave me ongoing support and feedback. Ann always ensured I was well prepared and focused going into each race, making sure I had a clear race plan and how I was going to execute it. Ann was a critical factor in helping me achieve my goals this year and I look forward to working with her again in 2010. Thanks Ann for your ongoing support and encouragement this past year it has been a pleasure working with you and getting to know you!"

"You can buy an expensive bike, carbon wheels, and the top of the line goodies that go along with them, but they wont get you anywhere without the right coach, and the right training. Shaun is that coach, and he knows the right training. In one season he's helped me go from a 5 hour half ironman, down to a 4:30 half ironman. Shaun has helped me reach goals that i couldn't have achieved on my own, with an extremely personalized training plan that works with MY schedule. Thanks Shaun!"

"Pacific Rim coaching has pulled me out of the mid pack to the font of the pack not only in my age group ...but in over all standings as well. I could not ask for better results.

I met Shaun Callaghan through a friend who he was coaching. Even though he was not coaching me at the time, he really had some great advice on my upcoming 2nd Ironman in
