Jeff‘s initial interest in competition began with distance running.  He trained and

competed in his first 10km race in Vancouver at the age of 6.  He eventually went

on to compete in his first triathlon event in Coquitlam’s MundyPark at age 10.

He has an extensive swimming background, having grown up in the Burnaby Barracudas

swim club.  After a number of years training and competing with the club, Jeff was hired on

as a lifeguard, swim instructor and eventually aquatic leader for the City of Burnaby.  Jeff

continued working for Burnaby for 10 years while at school.

The passion for triathlon competition re-emerged in his twenties where he participated

in over 25 races of various distances, including the ITU age group world championships and

two Ironman Canada finishes under 11 hours.  More recently, Jeff achieved 9th place overall at

Vancouver’s Olympic distance Triathlon in 2010.

Jeff believes proper training will provide a healthy, injury free and safe environment for

individuals to compete and achieve their goals.  With proper training and a genuine love

of the sport everyone comes out a winner.
