Keith has been competing as a multisport athlete since he was 12 years old, first as a cyclist before moving onto running and finally finding his home in Triathlon. He has been coaching for the last 12 years with outstanding success. Athletes under his care have had multiple top 5 placings in their age group in Tri BC races as well as winning age group races at the Provincial Championships (BC). He has coached a Provincial Junior Duathlon Champion, Gold and Silver medalists at the BC Summer Games while frequently helping novices through their first race experience and ironman.

His philosophy in coaching emphasises the uniqueness of each individual athlete. He believes the athlete should do the appropriate specific training required to achieve the desired goal and the avoidance of over-training and burnout is paramount. Keith uses a custom, athlete and goal specific, periodized, annual training plan for each athlete. This plan is broken down into three or four week long training phase’s or blocks which vary in content depending upon the training phase.

Keith coaches all levels of athletes from Iron Kids though to Elite and Masters athletes.
